Pedro Munhoz Pedro Munhoz will soon be clear of commission trouble that brought his MMA career to a halt. The chairman of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority today told MMAjunkie that a settlement with the UFC fighter over his alleged drug test failure is “imminent.” “We’re in negotiations,” said NSBA chair Michael MacDonald. “We’re close to a compromise.” MacDonald declined to elaborate on a settlement with the fighter, but acknowledged it could involve a suspension or fine. He added Munhoz is not admitting PED use as a part of the deal. Munhoz declined to comment on the specifics of his case, but told MMAjunkie, “It’s about to get resolved. You guys are going to see the result as soon as possible, and we’re going to have better things to talk about.” The 28-year-old bantamweight’s life was upended after the NSBA said Munhoz (12-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) failed a post-fight test, registering elevated levels of testosterone following his win over Jerrod Sanders (14-3 MMA, 0-2 UFC) this past October at UFC Fight Night 54, as MMAFighting.com initially reported
