Warlley Alves RIO DE JANEIRO – For most of the first two rounds, Warlley Alves seemed intent on pressing his advantage over Nordine Taleb in the grappling department by seizing the top position. But it was when Alves (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) dropped to his back for a guillotine choke late in the second that he finally put Taleb (11-3 MMA, 3-1 UFC) in real trouble, forcing the submission at the 4:11 mark of Round 2. The welterweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC 190 event at HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on pay-per-view.
