Tate was able to land some heavy shots on Jessica Eye , dropping her foe on multiple occasions to take a unanimous decision at UFC on FOX 16. Eye came out strong, landing some good shots on the former Strikeforce champion. However, Tate was able to crack her late in Round 1, sending Eye to the canvas. A similar situation would play out in Round 2, with Tate again badly hurting Eye with powerful punches on the feet
