But after years of manufacturing conflict, Punk (0-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC) said he’ll keep it real when his UFC debut arrives. “I feel my fight already sells itself,” he told MMAjunkie. “There’s a curiosity factor, but I don’t think I’ll be that guy that manufactures some kind of phony beef to try to sell a fight.” On the other hand, he added, “If I fight somebody I generally dislike, then it’s on.” Punk, 36, has yet to step foot in the UFC’s octagon after signing with the promotion this past December. Now training at the Roufusport Academy in Milwaukee, Punk said he’ll make his debut when he and his coaches believe he’s ready for competition.
