Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Penne have been slow dancing toward Saturday’s fight, trading mild barbs with each other along the way. Today, the tension was high. Heretofore, there hasn’t been anything over the top. Rather, the two have jabbed at each other like a couple of mosquitos buzzing each other’s lawn chairs, never landing long enough to get caught, but making sure to be just annoying enough to be a bother. Today, though, Jedrzejczyk (9-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Penne (12-3 MMA, 1-0 UFC) met face to face again, and Penne’s annoyance stood out after the UFC women’s strawweight champ made sure to toss a jab her way about the belt she had slung over her shoulder.
