Filed under: Featured Videos , News , UFC MEXICO CITY – UFC lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos hopes to fight again before year’s end, and he doesn’t see a knee injury causing him any issues moving forward. He’s intent to hang on to the belt he worked so hard to get – like, really intent. “Man, it wasn’t easy to get my belt, and it will not be easy to take it away from me,” dos Anjos told MMAjunkie. “People are going to have to kill me in the octagon to take this belt away.” Dos Anjos is currently in Mexico City, where he’ll attend Saturday’s UFC 188 event. He’s also healing up a surgically repaired knee, which he believes will prevent him from fighting again until the end of the year. When he does come back, dos Anjos (24-7 MMA, 13-5 UFC) will face a dangerous opponent in top contender Donald Cerrone (28-6 MMA, 15-3 UFC).
