For his first fight of 2015, Canadian welterweight Mark Drummond was tasked with having to defeat someone he was very familiar with not only inside the cage, but outside of it as well, in Spencer Jebb at World Series of Fighting 18. “It was a bit odd because Spencer and I had fought a number of years ago and had become quite close, but we had decided to put that all behind us and fight again,” Drummond told MMAWeekly.com . “It’s always odd fighting a good friend of mine. “It was a good back-and-forth fight, but I ended up catching him with a knee in a Thai clinch. It was the first time I knocked anybody out like that. I’m looking to build off that and keep having solid performances this year.” The win over Jebb was Drummond’s second in a row following a loss to Brandt Dewsbery in his WSOF debut in early 2014.
