Though he captured the RFA welterweight title in his most recent fight, Benjamin Smith doesn’t feel like the victory was the kind that truly establishes him as a champion. When Smith defeated Tat Romero via third round TKO at RFA 24 in March, it should have been a crowning achievement, but instead it appears it’s his opponent that has garnered the most attention. “Obviously it’s always good to win, especially with the title on the line,” said Smith. “I feel I did everything I needed to do and performed well.
