Once a title contender in the UFC’s 170-pound division, Thiago Alves is looking to rise through the ranks again and get another shot at the welterweight title. Recently plagued with injuries, the 31-year-old was sidelined for two years. He returned to action in April of 2014 with a unanimous decision win over Seth Baczynski in a bout that earned Fight of the Night honors.
