Bethe Correia Bethe Correia upset a lot of people when she took her pre-fight trash talk toward Ronda Rousey to the point of bringing up issues from Rousey’s past, including saying of the UFC women’s bantamweight champion, “I hope she doesn’t commit suicide.” Rousey’s (11-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) father committed suicide when she was 8 years old, making the dig from Correia (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) seem all the more personal. The two women are set to face off at UFC 190 in August, so some degree of trash talk was to be expected. But most agreed Correia was over the line if the comment was a shot at such a painful situation from Rousey’s history. After Rousey responded to the comments on Twitter, saying, “Suicide is no joke or selling point. My father will be with me the day I hand you the comeuppance you deserve.” Correia now has apologized and said she had no clue about Rousey’s father
