UFC president Dana White often doesn’t like to commit to future fights immediate following an event, but seemed to indicate on Saturday night that Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone had finally punched his ticket to a UFC title shot. Cerrone won his eighth consecutive fight by breaking John Makdessi ’s jaw at UFC 187 on Saturday night, improving his record in the Octagon to 15-3 and making him a shoe-in for a shot at the belt currently wrapped around Rafael dos Anjos’ waist, as fellow contender Khabib Nurmagomedov is sidelined for the foreseeable future.
