Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza had successful surgery on an injured knee last Wednesday, according to a report from “UFC Tonight.” The fighter went under the knife to repair a partially torn meniscus, the fighter’s manager told the FOX Sports 1 program. Jacare injured the unspecified knee in his fight with Chris Camozzi at UFC on FOX 15 in April. At a record of 22-3, 1 NC, Souza has been running through much of what’s been handed to him in the middleweight division. Stretching back to his days fighting in Strikeforce, Jacare has won eight in a row. Upon his return, the fighter’s manager told the program that he wants either a title shot or a rematch with Luke Rockhold in September.
