Dana White UFC fans in Calgary, Alberta, stand to benefit if New York’s MMA ban remains this year. UFC President Dana White said the promotion is targeting an event for the city in December as a backup for New York City’s Madison Square Garden, where a date is on hold in the event the ban is lifted. “People in Calgary should be pulling for no New York, and the rest of the world should be pulling for New York,” White said at the post-event press conference for tonight’s UFC 186, which took place at Bell Centre in Montreal. The UFC’s lone trip to Calgary, UFC 149, was racked with injury after injury and wound up as one of the promotion’s more tedious events, with four of five main card bouts going to decision.
