Nate Quarry and Jake Beckmann Nate Quarry  remembers telling a boxing coach with tears in his eyes that he could only afford to pay $20 a session. It was during a particularly tough time in the retired UFC middleweight’s career, one of many that would test his resolve not only in the cage, but as a person. He was on the outs with the famed Team Quest and was broke. But then, as with many times in his career, help came just at the right time. The coach didn’t balk.
