Filed under: Bellator , News , Videos It took some work, but Will Brooks retained his lightweight title this past week in the Bellator 136 main event. Brooks (16-1 MMA, 8-1 BMMA) needed to go the distance against Dave Jansen (20-3 MMA, 7-1 BMMA), and he struggled in the first round. But he took a trio of 49-46 scores to keep his belt. The event aired live on Spike TV from Bren Events Center in Irvine, Calif. Also on the card, Rafael Carvalho topped Joe Schilling and Marcin Held pulled off a submission that induced a screaming tapout from Alexander Sarnavskiy
