Skidding into his last fight on a four-fight losing streak, former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir is back from the brink to headline UFC Fight Night San Diego. Mir steps into the UFC Fight Night 72 main event opposite rising knockout artist Todd Duffee . UFC officials late Wednesday confirmed the news reported earlier on UFC Tonight. Mir (17-9) has been fighting in the Octagon since 2001. He has held the UFC heavyweight championship, as well as the interim version of that title. But he also had lost four consecutive bouts heading into his UFC Fight Night 61 headliner versus Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva
