In what was arguably the best win of his UFC career, Mendes (17-2 MMA, 8-2 UFC) steamrolled Lamas (15-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) less than three minutes into the event headliner to raise support for another title shot. But with Aldo set to put his title on the line against Conor McGregor at UFC 189 in July, it’s unclear what his future holds.
