Featherweight title challenger Conor McGregor sent an already hysterical crowd into fits in his hometown of Dublin, snatching champ Jose Aldo ’s belt off the dais while screaming, “You’re looking at the king!” Cooler heads eventually prevailed as UFC President Dana White and security personnel contained the men and returned the belt to its rightful owner, who moments earlier set off the exchange by proclaiming himself “The King of Dublin,” a moniker that didn’t go over too well with the Irish crowd. Jose Aldo, Dana White and Conor McGregor The boos for Brazilian Aldo (25-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC), who attempts his eighth title defense at the July 11 pay-per-view event at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Garden Arena, were as loud as the cheers for McGregor (17-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC), which all but drowned out initial questions from the media and forced White to scream over the noise.
