ONE Championship ’s lightweight division is stacked with talented contenders and two of them will be going head to head with each other in Singapore on May 22. Lowen Tynanes and Kuat Khamitov confirmed independently via social media that a fight between them has been booked. Tynanes (6-0) has not fought for ONE Championship for nearly a year due to a contract dispute with King of the Cage, which has now been resolved, but a third straight win for Asia’s biggest MMA organization would leave him in pole position for a title shot. In the opposite corner will be promotional newcomer Khamitov (18-3-1), who is riding a six-fight win streak that has included victories in China and India. He will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of fellow Kazakh Igor Svirid by eventually winning a title with ONE Championship
