This time, the fighters are in friendly territory for McGregor, Ireland’s biggest MMA star, in Irish-heavy Boston – the city he headlined in January with a dominant knockout win over Dennis Siver to earn his shot at Aldo. At a news conference, McGregor needed to be held back by UFC President Dana White as he shouted insults at the champion. The organization announced earlier this month announced a 12-day, 10-city media tour to promote UFC 189’s pay-per-view headliner between Aldo (25-1 MMA, 7-0 UFC) and McGregor (17-2 MMA, 5-0 UFC)
