Gilbert Burns RIO DE JANEIRO – Gilbert Burns headed into the final round looking like his perfect professional record might be in jeopardy against Alex Oliveira . But with his left eye swollen shut, Burns (10-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC) finally found the sense of urgency he’d been lacking for most of the fight, and the result was a quick takedown followed by a prolonged ground battle that ended with Oliveira (10-2-1 MMA, 0-1 UFC) tapping to an armbar at 4:14 of Round 3. The lightweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 62 event at Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 2 and UFC Fight Pass. If Burns thought he was in for an easy night of work against Oliveira, he was disabused of that notion early on in this one.
