Leonardo Mafra RIO DE JANEIRO – After taking a big shot in the first round, “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” vet Leonardo Mafra waged a counterattack and didn’t relinquish control of the fight until the final bell. Judges unanimously saw the bout for Mafra (12-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC), whose superior striking and grappling carried the day against Cain Carrizosa (6-2 MMA, 0-2 UFC). The lightweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 62 event at Maracanazinho Gymnasium in Rio de Janeiro. It aired on FOX Sports 2 following additional prelims on UFC Fight Pass and ahead of a main card on FOX Sports 1. The final scores were 30-26 and 30-27 twice for Mafra, who picked up his first UFC win. Carrizosa remains winless in the octagon after two tries
