Dominick Cruz Dominick Cruz could easily be seen as one of the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport, if only his body would let it happen. Cruz (20-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) is currently riding an 11-fight winning streak that includes victories over some of the best fighters in MMA. Unfortunately, knee injuries and complications from the surgeries to address them have led to Cruz only fighting once since October 2011. While some expected “cage rust” to be a factor when he returned to face Takeya Mizugaki at UFC 178, Cruz ran through the tough Mizugaki, stopping him with punches in 1:01 of the first round. Cruz was set to face T.J. Dillashaw for the UFC bantamweight title when he suffered yet another torn ACL, sidelining him for the foreseeable future
