Ronda Rousey RIO DE JANEIRO – Women’s MMA veteran Shayna Baszler sang the praises of UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey at Thursday’s UFC Fight Night 62 open workouts. Baszler is a friend and training partner of Rousey (11-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC). She suffered her most recent defeat to the Bethe Correia (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC), the fighter targeted to challenge “Rowdy” for her strap at UFC 190 on Aug. 1. The fight has yet to be confirmed by UFC officials, but already discussions have circulated about how Rousey will be an overwhelming favorite against the Brazilian challenger.
