Tony Ferguson LOS ANGELES – “The Ultimate Fighter 12” winner Tony Ferguson passed a major hurdle in his octagon career, stopping veteran Gleison Tibau to pick up his fifth straight win. Tibau (33-11 MMA, 16-9 UFC), long known as a bridge to bigger octagon challenges, was overwhelmed by Ferguson (18-3 MMA, 8-1 UFC) midway through the frame after getting caught with a punch. The lightweight bout opened up the main card of today’s UFC 184 event at Staples Center in Los Angeles. It aired on pay-per-view following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
