Andrei Arlovski knocked out the former UFC heavyweight title challenger in the first round at September’s UFC Fight Night 51 event in Brasilia, a city not far from where “Bigfoot” was born. It was an underwhelming performance in which Silva landed just six total strikes. The disastrous performance makes it all the more important for Silva to succeed in his second opportunity to main event in Brazil. Silva (18-6-1 MMA, 2-3-1 UFC) wants to redeem himself. He’ll have that chance on Sunday at UFC Fight Night 61 when he meets Frank Mir (16-9 MMA, 14-9 UFC) in the main event at Gigantinho Gymnasium in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil
