Anderson Silva UFC Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Fertitta and President Dana White will address a spate of high-profile drug test failures next week. A special news conference is set for next Wednesday in Las Vegas. The news was announced Wednesday night on FOX Sports 1’s “UFC Tonight.” Details on the press conference’s time and location are forthcoming. After backing away from an out-of-competition testing program earlier this year, Fertitta and White have been hit with news of multiple positive tests from UFC fighters. Light heavyweight champ Jon Jones was found to have cocaine in his system prior to a successful title defense against Daniel Cormier at UFC 182; ex-middleweight champ Anderson Silva and onetime welterweight title challenger Nick Diaz failed pre- and post-fight tests at UFC 183; and at UFC 182, welterweight Hector Lombard was found with a designer steroid in his system after a decision win over Josh Burkman. The UFC bankrolled the enhanced testing that caught Jones and Silva, while the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which regulated UFC 182 and UFC 183, caught Diaz and Lombard with traditional fight-night testing
