As reported Tuesday, Silva tested positive for two banned substances prior to UFC 183, though the Nevada State Athletic Commission contends the results didn’t come back until after the Jan. 31 fight took place. Silva (34-6 MMA, 17-2 UFC) ultimately earned a decision victory over Nick Diaz (26-10 MMA, 7-7 UFC), who also failed a drug test (for marijuana, his third such offense), during the pay-per-view headliner of the Las Vegas event. The win, though, is obviously tainted.
