BOSTON – Even after spending 15 minutes in the cage with him, you could forgive Shane Howell if he still wasn’t sure what Paddy Holohan looked like. That’s because Holohan (11-1-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) spent so much time on Howell’s (13-9 MMA, 0-2 UFC) back that it might have been tough to get a good look at the man who easily controlled and outgrappled him en route to a unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) victory. The flyweight bout took place at today’s UFC Fight Night 59 event at Boston’s TD Garden. It was the third of six preliminary bouts to air on FOX Sports 1 ahead of main-card bouts on the same channel. The story in this fight, from start to finish, was Holohan’s advantage in the grappling department.
