Phil Harris After an 11-year pro career that included five final fights in the UFC, Phil Harris is calling it quits. The 31-year-old English flyweight today announced his retirement (via Twitter ), but the judo black belt said he’ll continue competitive grappling: So 2014 I've decided to retire from MMA but will be staying competitive training out of @Gym01Portsmouth BJJ team roll on 2015 — Phil Harris ufc (@Philharrismma) December 31, 2014 Harris (22-12 MMA, 1-3 UFC) most recently fought in July. He ventured to Ireland to fight Irishman Neil Seery and suffered a shutout unanimous-decision loss at UFC Fight Night 46. Harris, who earned 17 stoppages (four knockouts and 13 submissions) in his 22 career wins, kicked off his career in his home country in 2003 while logging cage time with prominent players such as BAMMA and Cage Warriors. After a five-fight winning streak that included a successful flyweight debut, he caught the UFC’s attention and joined the company’s roster in 2012
