In the fallout from the media day brawl between UFC champion Jon Jones and challenger Daniel Cormier , the two faced a hearing in front of the Nevada Athletic Commission. The state argued the incident was “bad for the sport” and could have led to injury to the fighters and others. Jones and Cormier both were quick to admit to their transgressions and were ready to accept whatever punishment the commission deemed appropriate
