Rafael dos Anjos (This story appears in today’s edition of USA TODAY .) Rafael dos Anjos wants to win a UFC belt, and there’s some recent evidence to suggest he can make it happen. Once a one-dimensional grappler with passable striking and wrestling skills, dos Anjos is now a complete fighter, as seen in his knockout win over former champion Benson Henderson in August. His progress is eerily similar to his teammate and fellow Brazilisn’s, UFC interim heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum , a feared grappler who’s evolved into a serious threat in the striking department. Dos Anjos and Werdum train at Kings MMA in Huntington Beach, Calif., under the watchful eye of Rafael Cordeiro.
