Robbie Lawler LAS VEGAS – For longtime MMA fans, it looked like something out of a daydream from 2004. There was Robbie Lawler , he of the stone face and the sledgehammer hands, the guy who fought for every promotion that could get its hands on enough chain link to build a cage, and here he was posing in the middle of the octagon with the UFC welterweight title belt. As in, the real one, not some Chael Sonnen-esque replica. As in, Lawler (25-10 MMA, 10-4 UFC) actually won it, having taken it from Johny Hendricks  (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) via the splitiest of split decisions in the main event of Saturday’s UFC 181 pay-per-view event in Las Vegas. It was an image that seemed so weird, but also seemed so right.
