AUSTIN, Texas – Bobby Green spent three rounds first trying to track Edson Barboza down, then trying to convince him that the punches and kicks he’d landed while Green was in pursuit hadn’t bothered him. In the end, the judges weren’t convinced, as Barboza (15-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) took the unanimous decision victory (30-27, 30-27, 30-27) over a game, but ultimately unsuccessful Green (23-6 MMA, 4-1 UFC). The lightweight bout was the co-main event of today’s UFC Fight Night 57 event at Frank Erwin Center in Austin, Texas. It aired on FOX Sports following prelims on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Right away, Green had trouble getting Barboza where he wanted him, and was forced to spend a lot of time chasing the Brazilian, only to be stung with punches to the head and kicks to the legs once he did track him down.
