UBERLANDIA, Brazil – Claudio Silva ‘s dominance on the ground was enough to overcome and obvious deficiency in striking against Leon Edwards . Silva (11-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC) took his lumps on his feet, repeatedly absorbing left hands from Edwards (8-2 MMA, 0-1 UFC). But when the fight hit the mat, he did enough to convince two of three judges to give him the fight. The welterweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 56 event at Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 2. The final scorecards were 28-29, 29-28 and 29-28 for Silva, who earned his second straight UFC win after a debut decision in March
