It was Sunday night, six days before the next event, and UFC officials wanted Charles Rosa to drop everything and come to Stockholm to fight one of the most experienced featherweights on the roster. “They say it was six days’ notice,” Rosa tells USA TODAY Sports, “but with the time difference and all that, it was really closer to five.” It was a lot to ask, especially of a young mixed martial artist who’s been trying for months to break into one of the UFC’s most talent-rich divisions.
