As an Army Ranger, middleweight Andrew Todhunter found his training curiously lacking in the hand-to-hand combat department. His fellow soldiers showed him that. “I used to get the sh-t kicked out of me,” he told MMAjunkie Radio. “I was like, what are these guys doing? I’d never done it before, and they used to beat me up every single day for about six months. And then I started going to a real gym.” It was then that Todhunter figured out how effective he could be on the ground.
