It’s been nearly three years since Dominick Cruz  has stepped inside the UFC’s famed octagon, but at least one sponsor who signed on when “The Dominator” was at the top of his game will still be there as he tries to get there once again. “Dominick is a true Arizona success story, and his hard work and dedication are a tremendous example to fight fans and race fans alike,” Phoenix International Raceway President Bryan R. Sperber said. “We are proud to sponsor him in his return to action, and all of us at Phoenix International Raceway will be cheering him on.” Cruz, who hails from Tucson, Ariz., has partnered with the racetrack in the past, serving as an honorary pace car driver and making promotional appearances at various NASCAR races at the facility. While the most recent of those activities took place more than two years ago, Phoenix International Raceway officials elected to keep their deal in place, and the track’s logo will appear on Cruz’s shorts at UFC 178. Cruz, a former UFC and WEC bantamweight champion, currently boasts a 10-fight winning streak.
