Georges St-Pierre may or may not return to the octagon, but when he does, a title shot is waiting for him, according to UFC President Dana White. “It would be tough to deny that GSP comes right back and doesn’t fight for the title, you know what I mean?” White today told UFC.com . “GSP can do whatever he wants. If he wants to come back and fight for the title, or if he wants a fight before that, he can do whatever he wants.” Although White was initially angry at St-Pierre’s decision to walk away from the sport late this past year, he softened his stance on the former welterweight champ’s reported mental issues and calmly defended against criticisms of the promotion’s drug testing policies. Of course, it’s in the outspoken promoter’s best interest to maintain a good relationship with St-Pierre, who was one of the UFC’s top all-time draws at the box office and on pay-per-view. St-Pierre (25-2 MMA, 19-2 UFC) has indicated he won’t return to the UFC until it implements random drug testing, but with a program currently in development, there is renewed interest in his potential comeback.
