BANGOR, Maine – It took Shawn Jordan a little while to get going, but once he did he proved to be difficult for Jack May to stop. After getting cut open and nearly knocked out in the first two rounds, Jordan got to work in the final frame with a takedown and ground-and-pound assault which May couldn’t repel, leading to a TKO stoppage at 2:03 of round three. The heavyweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 47 at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelims on FOX Sports 2.
