BANGOR, Maine – Sara McMann ‘s explosive takedowns and smothering wrestling got the job done against former Invicta FC bantamweight champ Lauren Murphy , even though one judge argued against her on the scorecards. Two judges gave McMann the fight by scores of 29-28 while one dissented in favor of Murphy by a score of 29-28. It was Murphy’s first loss as a pro and a bitter setback. The women’s bantamweight bout was part of the preliminary card of today’s UFC Fight Night 47 at Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.
