Faber, the head of Team Alpha Male, recently spoke to our partners at Shoot Media about how the California fight camp is allowing his friends and teammates to accomplish their goals. “I’m sticking around and having success in this latter part of my career to show these guys,” he said. “If I’m the guy who brought them into the sport and show them the way, and I’m a guy who’s never used any performance-enhancing drugs, and I’m a guy who doesn’t have a messed-up lifestyle, and I’m a guy who can have a long successful career, that’s a message that gets passed on to the guys who started with me when they were 10 or 11, to the guys who are my buddies who I brought in. It’s bigger than me.” Faber also discusses the injury that forced him off the UFC Fight Night 52 fight card, his prediction for the upcoming rematch between bantamweight champ/teammate T.J. Dillashaw and Renan Barao, and more.
