Former top UFC featherweight contender Josh Grispi was arrested this past Friday for assault and battery and multiple firearms charges, according to police records. The Taunton Daily Gazette reports that Grispi, 25, allegedly abused his wife twice in four days and is being held on $100,000 bail at Plymouth House of Correction in Massachusetts after a second arrest. According to police, Grispi allegedly had his pitbull maul his wife, who is now recovering in the hospital. “It’s the worst case of domestic abuse I’ve ever seen,” Middleboro (Mass.) police officer Richard Harvey told the newspaper. Grispi pleaded innocent to the charges on Tuesday in court. Two of his known former managers said they no longer work with him and declined comment when contacted today by MMAjunkie
