SAN ANTONIO – For Clint Hester , it was all about taking Antonio Braga Neto into deep waters – as deep as the second round. Hester (11-3 MMA, 4-0 UFC) stayed unbeaten in the UFC after taking a split decision from Neto (9-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC), largely thanks to better cardio down the stretch. The middleweight bout was part of the main card of today’s UFC Fight Night 44 event at AT&T Center in San Antonio. It aired on FOX Sports 1 following prelim on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass. Neto worked hard for a takedown from the clinch almost from the outset. He finally got it 90 seconds into the fight and went to work, nearly from mount, and then from half-guard.
