Former WEC bantamweight champion and current UFC fighter Eddie Wineland on Friday will have wires removed from his broken jaw, but he’s considering retirement as the next step in his career. According to a Wednesday report from  UFC Tonight , Wineland, also a full-time firefighter, will consider hanging up his gloves and ending his professional MMA career following his second broken jaw, citing a desire to avoid experiencing the same injury again. Wineland last fought Johnny Eduardo at UFC Fight Night: Brown vs. Silva last month in Cincinnati. He lost the bout by knockout, falling to Eduardo in the first round. After the contest, it was discovered that Wineland suffered a broken jaw and recovery for the injury included wiring his jaw shut.
