Francis Carmont appreciates his upcoming opponent’s style, even if he could fall prey to it when they meet in the octagon. Carmont (22-8 MMA, 6-1 UFC) faces C.B. Dollaway (14-5 MMA, 8-5 UFC) at UFC Fight Night 41 and called his knockout of Cezar Ferreira “f–king good” because it was right to the point. “It made for a very good strategy,” he told MMAjunkie. “He waited for a good moment and the opportunity to punch Cezar in the face and wasn’t afraid about him.” Fighting without fear is something pretty much every fighter aspires to, but for Frenchman Carmont, it’s perhaps the best answer to the criticism he’s received in his UFC career. Although his 2011 debut against Karlos Vemola brought praise from the MMA cognoscenti, Carmont’s subsequent performances were not the stuff of legend.
