Former UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will star in the planned remake of the 1989 film “Kickboxer.” Also joining the cast is WWE professional wrestler and one-time amateur mixed martial artist Dave Bautista. The original cult classic featured action star Jean-Claude Van Damme in the leading role. St-Pierre and Bautista will play supporting roles in the remake. Van Damme’s character, leading role Kurt Sloan, will be played by stuntman and martial artist Alain Moussi. The film is being financed by international film and finance company The Exchange. It will be directed by Stephen Fung and produced by Ted Fields.
