Dustin Poirier (16-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC) may hold several UFC featherweight records to his name, but the 25-year-old believes he still has plenty of work to do before reaching his prime. “The Diamond” currently has the most UFC appearances (10), wins (eight) and stoppage victories (five) in the history of the 145-pound weight class. Even though that’s a stellar list of accomplishments, Poirier believes he has a significant amount of room for improvement. “My better fights are ahead of me,” Poirier told MMAjunkie. “This is just the tip of the iceberg. I got a lot of fights left in me and the better ones are coming.” Poirier is coming off one of his most impressive UFC performances to date, a second-round knockout of Akira Corassani at the TUF Nations Finale earlier this month.
