Belfort took to Facebook on Monday night to condemn the brawl between Wanderlei Silva and Chael Sonnen that broke out on the set of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil 3.” “The cat fight between Silva and Sonnen embarrassed me,” wrote Belfort in Portugese. Belfort, who served opposite Silva as a coach on the inaugural season of “TUF: Brazil,” said the coaches made martial arts look bad when they suddenly came to blows prior to a weigh-in during filming. (A Silva coach, Andre Dida, also jumped in the fray and punched Sonnen in the back of the head.) “Firstly, MMA is not fighting people not prepared inside the Octagon,” he wrote. “That’s what I do. Secondly, there is no more room for a sport like MMA to accept this behavior when [the sport] has clear rules for anti-sport attitudes both inside and outside the Octagon.
