ONE Fighting Championshio announced on Thursday that all but two fighters have made weight and are ready for ONE FC: WAR OF NATIONS, which takes place Friday at Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The card will be headlined by a ONE FC welterweight world championship bout between Brock Larson and Nobutatsu Suzuki. Pakistani mixed martial arts legend Bashir Ahmad proved once again the fighting spirit that made him a hero in his home country, stepping up on short notice to take on Malaysia’s Peter Davis. Ahmad’s star pupil, Waqar Umar, was originally slated to face Davis, but visa issues meant he would not be able to arrive in time for the event. Ahmad, who was supposed to corner Umar, confidently volunteered to take his place.
